Syrian and Turkish leaders on Tuesday discussed the situation in Iraq, the Middle East peace process and bilateral ties, Turkey's state-run Anatolia news agency said.
Syrian President Bashar Assad met with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a coastal resort in Turkey.
The two leaders did not hold a news conference, and officials from both sides have refused to comment on the details of Assad's schedule.
Turkish media say the Syrian president is vacationing with his wife in Turkey.
Turkey has hosted several rounds of indirect peace talks between Syria and Israel.
