'Magnificent Seven' actor Brad Dexter

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif.--Actor Brad Dexter, who rode with YulBrynner as one of the "Magnificent Seven" and became a confidant ofboth Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra, has died at 85.

Mr. Dexter had been hospitalized with emphysema and died Thursdayin Rancho Mirage.

Burly and handsome, he often was cast as a tough guy in supportingroles in films such as 1958's "Run Silent, Run Deep," starring BurtLancaster and Clark Gable, and 1965's "None but the Brave," starringSinatra.

He made his film debut in "The Asphalt Jungle" in 1950, but hismost prominent role came in 1960's "The Magnificent Seven," in whichhe starred with Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson and …
